RRC’s 2007 Community Building Plan |
|
Reynoldstown Residents, Follow the "Read More" link below and you will find a proposed community building plan for 2007. We would love to have your feedback on this plan. You can add comments at the end of the plan RRC participates in a Community Building Initiative through NeighborWorks America. This provides us with some funding, which makes it possible for us to provide support and work together with RCIL on community activities. This funding has supported the Community Outreach Coordinator role, the Youth Facilitator role, Community Night Out, Tech Corps computer classes, Clean-Ups and a homebuyer education workshop. To participate in this Initiative, we are required to provide NeighborWorks with an annual plan. Please read the plan and provide us with any comments by Friday, December 15th. To comment, contact Laila Tai at 404 525 4130, ext 22 or

Hitsville Youth Boxing Program |
With the generous support of Councilwoman Natalyn Archibong and the patient trainers of Reynoldstown’s own Hitsville Boxing, the pilot Reynoldstown Youth Boxing Program has been a major success! Every Thursday evening for the last ten weeks, up to ten Reynoldstown youth have learned the discipline, self-control, and skills necessary to be a boxer. If you see Calvin, Clifford, Amanda, Christian, Roderick, Kedarrel, or Laquanda, ask them to show you some moves! Thanks as well to our dedicated neighborhood “coaches” Marvin Bryant, Greg Loughlin, and Larry Griffin! |
